Hi
Bought a skype phone that plugs into pc via USB cable but since I did that my speakers dont work, any idea what to do. Would prefer to keep phone plugged in as I have family in USA and Turkey and we talk quite a bit.
Thanks

Assuming you have Windows XP, go Start --> Control Panel --> Sounds and Audio Devices and click on the 'Audio' tab. In the drop down list for 'Sound Playback: Default Device' reselect the sound card that your PC speakers are plugged into.

yep just as TOG has said you need to change your audio back to the pc speakers. when u wanna use the phone you need to change it back0

You can also adjust your audio settings from the Skype program - go into Tools>Options>Sound Devices0

No you don't.
The Control Panel/Sounds and Audio Devices sets the system wide default playback device. However individual applications (e.g. modems, softphones) can have their own, different playback device defined in the application's config/set-up.
So as Fairytooth said in post # 4, having now reset your Windows default sound playback device, go back into the Skype program>Tools>Options>Sound Devices and set the correct sound device for that application. This should not then affect the Windows system wide default device.
