If it is an estimated bill, supply them with the actual reading, and they should supply you with a corrected bill in about a week. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Don't forget the VAT, Paul.0

my point is if it is £45 for 51 units how can it be £88 for 288 units0

Have you had your meter changed during that period? Looks like you've changed from being charged for an imperial meter to a metric meter.0

hi sleepy, yes you are right i have had meter changed to a metric, is the amount of units used not the same as my old meter.0

With Metric one unit is approx 11.3 kWh. With Imperial it was 2.86 times more.

The meter is M3 (metric) .
Units used is 566
my correction factor is 1.022640
My Cal value is 39.0
So 566 x 1.022640 (correction factor) = 578.81424.
578.81424 (cubic metres of gas) x 39.0 (correction factor) = 22573.755.
Then i divide that total by 3.6, so 22573.755 divided by 3.6 = 6270.4875.
So my total kWh is 6270.4875, rounded up to 6271.
So for the first 1143 kWh i am paying 2.933p (inc vat)= 3352.419 or £33.53 (rounded up)
and for the rest (5128) i am paying 1.958p (inc vat)= 10040.624 or £100.41 (rounded up)
So my bill will be £133.94.
Would anyone who understands this calculation tell me if i am correct, or care to comment otherwise.
Again thanks in advance Paul
always makes me laugh.....a dinosaur industry, run by muppets that needs a kick up the a**e.....why dont they utilise a measurement that people can actually calculate their bill.Stevie Coppell's record breaking blue and white royal army - championship winners 2005-60 -
Could they be subject to a rule that energy has to be measured in kWh. I have in back of mind that may be the case and not dinosaurism.0
