Semicolons on my credit card addresses on credit report

I recently applied for my credit report on checkmyfile.com. I found that on four of my credit cards, my registered address has lots of semicolons between my house name, town and postcode. Does this mean anything or am i just being paranoid?

I did try "checkmyfile" once but was very dissapointed with information I got despite the fact that they are getting the data from experain/equifax. Have you tried to check your report on experian, you get free trial if you cancel within a month, at least you can ensure that all data on your is correct but as well contact Experian if you need to amend any of your personal details.

Was this data coming from the Co-op by any chance and appears on your callcredit file?

I am trying to get Equifax at the moment to put my accounts on my credit file as not one is there (but they are all on my other files) and it is like banging my head off of a brick wall.

Mate remember that a lender is under no obligation to report account conduct, it is entirely upto them and the CRA's cannot do anything if the lender has not provided the feed. Its not like they can go and ask the lender, as they cannot get involved with something that technically has nothing to do with them.

You should be going to the lender asking them to update the CRA's...... :T

The thing is they are provding the feed.

I live in a block of flat and Equifax can only hold one address format which is flat number house number, street name, city, post code.

However, the lender is sending it as flat number, house number, etc..

I have spoken to one gentleman at Equifax who said he knew exactly what I was talking about as soon as I mentioned flats and Glasgow. He said it is a big problem here and in Edinburgh. He said he would pass it to the correct dept. Then nothing, so I have been chasing it up over the phone and using their on-line dispute, however, they still cannot seem to link my file to my account conduct data.

I did wonder if the Co-op were sending it so I phoned and asked and they said they were, but Equifax have told me they will need to contact the Co-op, which to me is just nonsense as Equifax already have my data. The problem is that it is floating around on the database not linked to my address.

Send an old fashion letter and use recorded delivery. See page 20 of the leaflet, called credit explained.
