It's of no surprise in a country that allows the underclass to have a career benefit path, all you have to do his have 5 kids before your 21, preferably with all different dads, and your laughing......... recession, what recession.
  • This is nothing new.

About 8 years ago my daughters mother let her council house out whilst living with her mum.

Collecting rent, rent benefit & council tax benefit whilst I was getting caned £660 per month by the CSA.

She was taking home a decent sum.

The CSA were happy because they got there cut from me.

& it was costing me £200 each & every month for the privelidge of working 50 hrs per week.

    Nice....

Yes, nothing new here, this is going for years now, it would have cost too much to police this kind of scams so LA takes little action

But did you report them? People are going to keep taking advantage of the system if they think they will get away with it.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:, I reported someone for claiming as a single parent, whilst actually she had her boyfriend living with her.

She works 20hrs a week employed, claims WTC ,also works in a pub for cash, takes home around £180 a week. Her boyfriend is employed and earns £18k a year. She also get council tax relief and rent relief.
All in they are coining it in to the sum of around £37k a year, including benefits.

Theyve been reported by myself twice in 18 months and to this day nothing has happend.

Lastly around 5 years ago, she had a letter from the benefits agency to set up a date/time for a home visit, which gave her plenty of time to move all of his clothes out, motorbike and BMW car.....

If anyone actually thinks these people get investigated then your very naive.

Lastly a good friend works for the benefits agency and in her area of the southeast which includes the channel ports they have 3 fraud investigators...........Thats all just 3.......

Is there any differnece to this and claiming a second home allowance by an mp and staying within the london?

Theres thousands of expats doing the same thing , and/or using the nhs through a family adress.

Then theres those that use sick notes to cover looking after their kids during the summer holidays.

Tax credits for having kids , while the previous generation never had the same.

Married couples with no kids doing the same job as collegues are actually being paid less through tax credits.

Its easy to condemn a minority of claimants , and turn a blind eye to our own claims.
Have you tried turning it off and on again?

I agree with you, get rid of all of the above , if people chose not to have children then they shouldnt have to subsidise people who do..
Also get rid of civil service pensions too, well everyones in fact, make veryone self employed ,so if you don't work you don't eat.It sounds harsh but we need to "get back to basics" (oh dear, heard that before)...

I do think making people all self employed would help, less likely to take sickies and work longer hours and the more NI stamps you pay in the more benefits your entitiled to when/if you retire..
Just gonna don my helmet ready for the nice replies....:D

Yes, MPs at least pretend to do something positive - since when have benefit scrounging chavs ever had a positive effect?

    Yes I did report it.

I reported it because my CSA assessment was done on her having no income.

    What do you think happened.

    F. ALL. Thats what.

Got caned for 2 years by the CSA & no one gave a toss.

That was until I left my job & went travelling for a year. Then the CSA wanted to charge me £12,000 for arrears because I hadnt told them my change of circumstances.

Its amazing what some companies/business/government agencies think they have the power to do..

I just to them to take me to court. Funnily enough they didnt as they defrauded me for over 2 years.
