Help selling used toys, baby clothes and books

Hi, I wanted some advice on where is the best place to sell used children's toys and baby clothes.
I have previously sold some things on ebay but with varying successes and in the past have made next to nothing on baby clothes and children's toys especially when you take account of fees.
We have also got loads of books in varying states and would like to try and sell these too.
The house is full to bursting and would really appreciate any help from experienced sellers on where to start.

I dont bother selling childrens books & donate to charity as I find its not worth the time & effort for the amount you get for them. The rest I do on Ebay.
I sell off the old toys by doing them in age appropriate boxes, only selling individual items if they seem to sell well.
Baby clothes dont sell for great amounts individually, again I found that it wasnt worth the time & effort for what I got for them. They sold alot better when I bagged them & sold as a large bundle.
I have found that as they get older then children's clothes sell OK individually.
I dont start anything at 99p unless Im happy to let it go at that price. I have been caught out a good few times where I have pretty much given the item away.
Alternatively you could try a boot fair. I havent tried one yet, but it seems a good way of having a clear out first & then what doesnt sell at the boot fair you can charity (or freecycle), or try selling on ebay.
I havent made vast amounts selling the bits off, but its cleared a good space in the loft & Ive managed to put money away to re-invest in Christmas pressies for them!0 -
For books check out Amazon and for paperbacks https://www.greenmetropolis. There are threads for both on here which you may find useful, Amazon in particular can become quite addictive.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks for the advice. Will definitely try amazon and greenmetropolis for books. Also I will have another go at Ebay - I think you are right about not letting things go too cheaply as I have had this happen to me a couple of times before and it isn't worth it then. Car boot sales are difficult for me as I have two very young children. Has anybody got any ideas on where to sell pictures and general household items. I want to have a good clearout.0
