hi guys,

i have a problem with my phone i recently got sent a new sim (as old 1 snapped) i phoned vodafone up to register it gave the lady the number on the back, she told me i would be cut off very soon and to insert my new sim turn phone on and everything will be up and running.

thing is when i inserted my new sim i tried turning phone on and it seemed to get warm, key pad lit up but nothing else came on :confused:. then after trying again i had no power whats so ever.

i rang vodafone up and they've said it is something to do with when we registered the new sim so got to leave it over night and try again.

thing is i'd love to get this up and running again as ive got loads of pictures on there of my boys.

so im asking if anyone here can help with this problem please.

thanks :D

Have you removed the sim and reinserted?
Try that and also try removing and reinserting the battery just incase it has got dislodged.
Did the old sim snap in the phone? is there maybe still a bit of it in there getting in the way?

yeah ive had the battery and sim out of there loads of times. the sim was already snapped in half it happened when i got this phone and was inserting it, its only in 2 pieces so i dont think any is left in there.

i cant see how them activating the new sim would cause this but vodafone says it is

    Hi crystal9,

    This doesn't sound promising.

Ordinarily I'd recommend arranging a repair through your nearest Vodafone store however, in this instance I'd make an exception as you'll most certainly lose anything stored on the phone memory.

Your best bet would be to locate a repairer local to you which is authorised to repair your phone to see if they're able to resurrect it so at least you can transfer your photos to a PC.

    Thanks,
