BEWARE email scam

I nearly fell foul of an email scam yesterday so Im posting this as a warning to others. However, I think this scam has been around a while but unfortunately I didn't know about it.:mad:
I got back from a 4 week trip and as usual found a mountain of emails to go through. One email purported to come from the Inland Revenue. It was sent early July and then because it was unanswered they sent another one. My tax returns are done on line so initially I thought it was genuine. It stated that for the last fiscal year I had a tax rebate due of £284 and to claim the rebate I should complete the attached form. Unfortunately, I opened the attachment before becoming suspicious. I should have realised it was dodgy as it wasn't addressed to me by name, just "Dear Applicant" and then, of course, a big alarm bell went off when I saw they were asking for credit card details on the claim form. :eek:
I had to clean the PC afterwards with Avira which found two malicious files which were quarantined. So beware of emails bearing gifts!!

Post the log here AFTER youve deleted everything it finds

Click DO A SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE (Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
(do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log)

Thanks for your post. I have downloaded and run Malwarebytes with a full scan. Here is the log. It didnt find anything but you might want to take a look. I will now download Hijack This and come back with the log a s a p.

Hi aliEnRIK,
I have run the Hijack This scan. When it finished it produced a logfile which I wasnt able to copy (unless there is some trick I dont know about) but it also produced a Log file which went into Notepad which I was able to copy. I have copied it here below - hope this is what you need to see????
