Just to let everyone know that Shaun has at least reached the mainland (only four days late!) just waiting to hear that he has reached the big smoke safely - and that he loves packing so much he is taking up removals as his new career :laugh:

thanks for the up dates DT
hm the journey to london,,and the lost 6 hours :eek::eek::eek:
1 hr for detour off the motorway
2 hr stop for food and a nap around 6pm
2hrs for a sleep and walk around 12 o'Clock
1hr for the guided tour of london including 3 runs up and down the same 5 mile stretch of motorway courtersy of the sat nav and road works:o
settled in over Christmas,
great start to the new year with the local traffic warden not recognising my EU disability badge (6 fines @130 each under appeal )
seem to have spent most of my time sorting out esb and gas,water,and taxes as no one has paid them from this address for years,,10'000 outstanding 6000+ for water :eek:
hopefully by months end it will all be sorted and i can spend time doing my books and getting the business off the ground.
hoping the kids will get into a school by the end of January,,
on the plus side
loads to see here
one weeks irish food money lasts for a month plus loads of extra bits i wouldn't buy in ireland, main brand yoghurt,fizzy drinks,grapes,juices,sliced meat,, ave of 65 spent the 3 weeks, at asda and 7 a week on vegs and salad of the market:D:D

Glad you're settling in Shaun. EErr I think that's what's happening! Scary bills made up by utilities to prompt new peeps into phoning to set up their bills methinks.
