Aargh, its bad, then? Some of it is easy for me to hear, because I was there at two of the events, and it sort of gets imprinted on your brain. Oh well, I tried - I'm just about to put in the SGU DVD! :j:j:j

Good morning Shaun, glad to hear you have an action plan for the forthcoming festive season preparations! In some jobs which are not Monday to Friday 9 to 5 you don't know your working arrangements for Christmas until a few weeks before, so arrangements are often a last minute thing. I am on shift Christmas Eve night only so it's not too bad this year. Still waiting to hear what OH is doing though, then can decide what day to have Christmas dinner. Hope you have the energy to cope with it all!

Christmas Eve at 10pm? Good grief...... I'll be travelling back to Scouseland on the 23rd, and bringing my mum back down to my sister on 29th.... and unless some cousins invite me and my mum over, there's just my auntie to see. Its kind of weird.

I like the production-line effect of the pressies, Shaun - and personally, I *love* those hamper-type gifts that you make up yourself, and they always seem to go down really well whatever the age of the person getting them.

I watched SGU! Good stuff! I found it very confusing, mind, and I've read some *dreadful* reviews from really good fanfic writers and professionals that are really heartfelt.

Shaun - Christmas dinner at 10:00 Christmas Eve sounds very civilised - the French have their main Christmas meal around midnight Christmas Eve, I think they call it the Reveillon or something like that, after going to Mass. So, you will be having a French-style Christmas, plenty of excuse for loads of vin and fromage etc. If you keep the kids up for it and say Father Christmas will be calling at the end of his rounds, they will sleep in while you sleep it off!
