WW2 g,dad drove munition trains around the Midlands,,,said he spent most of the war hiding in tunnels(wounder why :rolleyes:)
g dad 2 ,, left behind at Dunkirk,joined french resistance,came home 22months later ,,posted missing in action ,,we had a photo of him at the war memorial pointing to his name,,,must have totally freaked grandma out,,,hi honey in home!!

Wow, Shaun, thats really something. There's crossover with me too. My uncle that died was at Dunkirk, but got out, and was killed later on. And we have a mistake on a war memorial too - my great grandfather was killed in August 1914 in a tugboat on the Mersey, and he's named on the war memorial.
I think we're converging because there is *so* much military action right now, and so many deaths, Remembrance Day suddenly isn't solely about the past once again, its right here, right now.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
