Hi all, Ok so my first coupon shop didnt go too great, first my hubby was late from work so by the time i got there it was too late to use the £1 and 15p coupons that had to be used , anyway i did some shopping and got what i needed but couldnt find coupons on the way around! none on ecover liquid or finish rinse aid, But i did find a 50p on a plug in glade airfreshner :)

I then made my way to the till and at that time of night only the self scan tills are open and a trout works them! Panic started creeping in at this point, anyway ripped the 50P off the airfreshner out and used that along with a couple that i thought would go through and then came the rustlers! lol I did buy 4 so was going to use 2 when the till asked for authorisation ( I knew cashier had to put in amount) when the lady said NO we dont take coupons like this! that have been photocopied! so i politely told her they were not photocopied and were available online through rustlers and she said " No coupons! we never take coupons like that in the night!" And "If i take them i could loose my job because its photocopied" I again told her they were not and they take them in this store in the day and all she had to do was enter the price.

She then asked a young man who was there and he tried to bluff me off with tesco policies! lol so i showed then my copy from page 1 in this thread and he said sorry we dont take them in the night you will have to come back in the day.

I chatted nicely and then the woman said im going to call the night manager, after about 5 minutes waiting for him to come as he was chatting and listening to music with the boys he was very excited and wanted to know where i had got them from to which i replied rustlers, he agreed to let me use them tonight and the SA said we will have to check that in the morning!
The young man said he couldnt wait to get home to print some for himself! lol

Anyway she let me use 2 rustlers coupons ( as i bought some) and as i had a 75p couponnet coupon out she scanned that through too ( i didnt buy the product) :)

So it was a little bit of a pain but i did manage to get £5 off my shopping tonight :D

So now i have done it once i cant wait to go shopping tomorrow to try it in the day :rotfl::rotfl:

I hope you can understand all this :o

The link for Rustler's voucher is on Post no. 3 on Page 1 of this thread. It is one voucher per two packs, but Tesco's should take 2, because it is one if you buy the product, plus one without buying (as per national policy).

    Thanks guys.

Can I ask do any of you ever feel uber paranoid whilst approaching the tills?

Today, as I went to the till there were 4 staff talking and they kept looking at me. As I put my shopping on the conveyer belt I had a wee glance up and they were looking then turned away.

I got my favourite SA today, she is lovely, in fact she is too good for the tills imho as she has excellent communication skills and understands the customer ;) :T

I was talking away to her and I just felt uncomfortable as I thought sets of eyes were just watching me :eek:

I'm just being paranoid guys right?? :rotfl::rotfl:

You probably felt paranoid because they make us believe that we are doing something wrong but as I always point out if any of the SA's get arsey with me is that it is Tesco who are exploiting the manufacturers by accepting the coupons in the first place(there policy as we all know!) when we haven't bought the product we are merely taking advantage of the fact!!
The eyes that were watching you will probably have been thinking here's that lucky woman/man who gets there shopping for next to nothing!! In our local Tesco most of the staff use couponnet coupons themselves so they are fine with it and obviously come on this site so I will say no more!!
Keep going Moyilla with your head held high we have nothing to be ashamed of!!

I bought two the other day - chicken ones are very nice. :D And used two coupons, the cashier just had to enter the price each time. As others have mentioned it is Tesco policy to accept two of the same coupon if you buy the product.
