can some one help me get my speakers working please?

hi
i was wondering if some one could advise me how to get my speakers working , i recently moved but when i unpacked my pc and tried the speakers they no longer work i have tried every thing as well as trying speakers that i know definatly work but am lost as to how i can get sound on my pc once more i would be very grateful for any advise

Have you connected the lead from the speakers to the correct socket usually colour coded lime green, on the PC?:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

And have you conected the speaker power lead to the wall socket?No free lunch, and no free laptop

thanks for replying i have done both of the above and checked the drivers and the pc says every thing is working fine..but still no outputreach for the moon because even if you miss you will still be a star!0

Do you get a humming noise if you turn the speakers on and the vol knob right up? That would indicate that the speakers are mechanically OKNo free lunch, and no free laptop

You don't have the sound control muted, or the volume set to zero, do you?
Also, is sound set to go to the correct output device?0 -
Even though windows says all is okay it can lie; go to device manager and uninstall audio driver then reboot. The wizard will reinstall.0
