Simple query really - I'm looking at getting one of these cards as they are 0% interest on purchases for 12 months - going to America soon and was hoping to use it there, however have noted on the product details under 'Fees & Charges' it has 'Foreign Exchange - 2.75% EU, 2.75% NON EU' - now as the transactions will be in dollars if I use it over there, does that mean they will charge this 2.75% fee for each transaction?

Yes it does. If you have 12 months interest free buy travellers cheques to qualify for 0% for 12 months. Ergo, no 2.75% fee??

CannyJock- how did you go about your appeal?

Successful with increased limit up to £10,000. I've already got £10,550 with RBS on Natwest and Ulster cards, not sure if that's still a factor with Tesco.

Took 2 letters confirming income - well, one letter confirming income and second letter detailing why further confirmation would not be forthcoming

Got a letter back confirming approval, limit and apologising for the inconvenience caused with details of their complaints procedure if I was not satisfied with their apology
