whats a good programme for web filtering and general security for kids
I have discovered that my 13 yr old son has been looking at sites thats he shouldn't (oopss naughty boy)
I have seen one called netnanny which filters sites and limits time online( a bonus)
are there any other similar ones out there,
appreciate any answers
answers saying i should speak to my son about his actions are not required,
software to stop this sort of thing IS (Boys will be Boys whether or not being spoken to ) we've all done things we shouldn't even after being told its wrong
thanks in advance

Do you have a broadband router? Some models (netgear etc) can be setup to block sites, keywords etc.. the problem with software, is that it can be turned off..

search the techie forum for "Parental" , it's been asked before..

I use Zonealarm security suite which is a firewall, antivirus as well as offering parental controls. You can simply select the categories you don't want son to see and apply a password.0

in internet explorer there is a parental securty thing built in. you can change the level there and giving your son a limited user account he wont beable to change the settings. the only thing is i found the IE filter not very good tbh and was also recommended netnanny.0
