Meeting of Creditors

Options
Hi

Today was my meeting of creditors to do with my proposed IVA, However I was rung saying that certain creditors wanted to adjourn the meeting for 7 days. Is this Normal? Got me worried now that it may not be accepted.

There may well be an innocent reason for this. Remember your IVA company would not have advised you to proceed unless they thought you had a good chance of it being accepted, so hang on to that thought. Good luck.

  • chances are the iva is currently declined and your iva company are trying hard to get it accepted, sorry to give some bad news but thats what i had to do when i did that job, when i adlourned i would do it for a few days at a time, or it could be that they are waiting for just one creditor to accept and they are taking there time, that 1 creditor may be what they need to put the acceptance level to 75% good luck

Pleased for you. Now you at least can see a debt free date in the not-too-distant future. Just remember to stick tightly to your budget and you will be fine. Good luck.
