Hi,
I have an old unpaid default on my credit file for £289 which is from Orange.
This was back in the Wanadoo broadband days (they were taken over by Orange) i never received any communication regarding the default and would like it removed.
The default has been registered by a company called "1st Credit" who i assume bought the debt from Orange or Wanadoo?!
I have since moved address several times, and want to get my file cleaned up. (Its getting there (slowly))
Anyway, is there anything that i can do to get this removed, and paid off?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Dan

It will drop off after 6 years0

You can always contact Orange and offer to pay the remaining balance but the default will stay on your file, it is not something that will be removed and you already had your response in previous thread.
If you pay balance, credit file will show account as satisfied/settled but default WILL REMAIN until it reaches 6 years0 -
Saying that if you contact orange it's likely they'll tell you that debt is no longer with them and that you'll have to deal directly with 1st Credit0
