Removing Tiles From Wooden Window Frame!

Moved into this house two years ago and did some DIY and I am about to tackle some more... someone decided to put white tiles onto the wooden window bottoms in both the living room and bedroom whoever lived here before and it was not a very good job they did, they look tacky, uneven and awful!

How do I remove them? I am just a single female on my own with very little DIY skill so I plead to someone out there to point me in the right direction! I’d like to try and salvage the wood if I can underneath to strip it right back and paint it in gloss but am aware it might have to be replaced...

I doubt whether they are very strongly fixed. Just get a wallpaper scraper or filling knife and tap it into a joint. They should lift quite easily, once one has shifted they all will. You might need to use a small hammer to get started. Keep the scraper as flat to the wood as you can to limit any damage. Even if you do damage the wood you can always fill any marks before painting.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
