Does it have a link in it and did you click through that link? Is it in your messages section in Ebay? If you say yes to the first and no to the second you have been phished and you need to go to your Ebay account - not through the link but the long way round - and you need to change your password.

Is the email definitely from ebay? or is it a Phishing one asking you to follow a link to change your password?

The email title is a clear indication its a phishing email. If Ebay were aware that a password had been discovered by a third party (and how would they know?), they would put a simple message title, not some random code.

Please now do go back and change your password and you need to take other steps if you have clicked on a bogus Email link as your computer will likely now have other 'problems'.

Just hunted back through my emails to March. I've had the same message. It is from eBay, and it is legit. Has a gobbledegook title but I've checked it all to make sure it's 100% genuine. Looks like eBay do send emails with random code in the title in this case. It doesn't ask you to click any links, but warns you to change email and ebay passwords.

To the OP, do you use any snipers on eBay? I think goofbay had a wee issue a while back with users getting these warnings. Just wondering if it could be something similar again.
