If you buy frozen vegetables and then boil them, can you use the water afterwards for anything?

If you're making soup at the same time, chuck it in instead of fresh water, but otherwise just cool it and use for watering the garden.0

I've read of some folks diluting juices with it for kids who don't eat much veg. I think Weezl74 drinks it herself (I'm sure I read it somewhere:whistle:) as it still has some vitam, ins in it.
It's only a game

I use veg water to make gravy.2009 winnings: private box at the ballet, a cooking lesson with Jean Christophe Novelli, a case of wine, £25 itunes downloads, a candle, Football Manager PC game, a lipstick, £2500

If you've salted the water, pour it over the weeds growing between the slabs in the path/patio. Cheaper than buying weedkiller. If you will the end, you must will the means.0

if I don't drink it myself or don't use it for gravy for the meal, I freeze any veg water in 60ml portions to use as stock when I need it
I don't often do frozen veg other than spinach for curries, & peas & sweetcorn for adding directly to dishes, but I can't see the cooking water would be an awful lot different from fresh veg for stock purposes, maybe slightly less tasty, but I certainly wouldn't throw it away0 -
I find frozen vegs water doesn't taste as good as that of fresh vegs, but then maybe it's just me.
That said, I NEVER use too much water to boil vegs, and what little is left I use to make a cup of soup for the same meal - just adding a bit of olive oil, and a pinch of parmesan.
Remember that the water left from cooking vegetables contains valuable minerals and vitamins that were leaked out of the vegs during cooking.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
Ok... mental note... keep the veg water, don't pour down the sinkworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0

You can use it to boil rice and quinoa in too.
If you have enough room, freeze it and freeze all the trimmings from your veggies eg celery leaves. Make soup when you have enough0 -
I use it to make gravy or let it cool and water plants.
