    Saying 'sold as seen' is meaningless as it does not recuse the seller from their legal obligations. Using such a phrase normally indicates that something fishy is going on but it is meaningless and is certainly not legally binding.

    I have to admit I'd fight him in the small claims court. He clearly knew what he was selling and feels he can get away with it and he'll do it again.

    If you can afford to lose the money maybe let it go, but its a###holes like him that gives ebay a bad name.

    Thanks Rambler but it wasn't ebay just a private sale and my friend, although £1000 plus the rest he spent on it, doesn't feel he'd get very far for all the trouble of going to court.


    I'm sad for him I think it's alot to loose but that's life when there are sh***y people around.
