I got a new job yay!!!!!!!!!:j
Problem is that there is no positive start date, it will be around the 24th August.
I am signing on on Tuesday shall I tell them that I got a job offer and that the start date is around the 24th or shall I wait till I get a positive date to tell them?
The paper work will arrive sometime next week.

Congratulations on your job!!!
This is something I have been worried about (for when I am in your position). But I guess one thing to consider is whether or not the offer is subject to references and stuff; if so you have only received a provisional offer, so could mention that to them (I guess) but it really makes sense to keep applying for other jobs.
I will be watching this thread, though. It's something I find confusing.0 -
No the job is definate its just that the start date is a bit hit and miss because it's in a new restaurant so the opening date depends on the builders.
........and thank you lollypop I cant stop dancing around!!!0 -
Tell them you have a job but no start date yet, that you will continue to look for work in the meantime and that you will inform them when you have an actual start date.Bought, not Brought0
