Talking of old threads..the house that got repossessed next door to me is still not sold..
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

macaque a classic dailymailer - kneejerk reaction as ever.

    1) Simple straight forward mortgage applicants have no need to use a broker - go direct and get some of those direct only deals

    2) We are here for the millions of complex borrowers for whom no amount of net surfing will solve thier problems. Muppet sites like moneysupermarket merely scratch the surface of lender criteria. The staff inputting the info into such sites wont have built 20 year relationships with a lending underwriter for sure.

Im my opinion mortgage advising is money for old rope, mortgage adivisers push the deals they get the most money for and live off the old its too complicated for you mere mortals alone to understand propaganda to hook customers, trying to scare people that they couldn't possible understand these agreements!

I think alot of them are skint now and no wonder as they help perpetuate the greedy atmosphere of borrow now and worry about the consequences later which caused the recession in the first place.

Any ideas how much they're looking for on it? Is it on the market or being sold at auction?

I often find that an essential tool of the underwriter when applying an affordabilty matrix to an applicant is how long you have known the mortgage adviser?
