A warm congratulations to you all from Macaque. Next months outing will be a barbeque at Stone Henge to watch the sun setting on house prices.

Can I urge those of you who were rejected to have another go in 6 or 7 months time. In Dan's case, I'm afraid we will need to see a letter from your doctor before we can reconsider another application from you.

Unfortunately that poll was put up before we realised the government were going to indebt the next three generations of UK citizens to stop the housing market crashing anymore, my personal view is they have succeeded, but only temporarily for 2009, once the borrowing stops (£13 billion last month alone), normal service will resumed, except it will probably be slightly worse due to any recovery being hobbled by massive government debt.

There is an old saying.... 'you get nothing for nothing', the borrowing that as taken place to try and shift sentiment will have to be paid for, and taxing car parking spaces(£200 per space, per year) for companies with more than 10 spaces isn't quite going to cut it.

macaque a classic dailymailer - kneejerk reaction as ever.

    1) Simple straight forward mortgage applicants have no need to use a broker - go direct and get some of those direct only deals

    2) We are here for the millions of complex borrowers for whom no amount of net surfing will solve thier problems. Muppet sites like moneysupermarket merely scratch the surface of lender criteria. The staff inputting the info into such sites wont have built 20 year relationships with a lending underwriter for sure.

In this case, probably because the original concept was so ridiculous and has been quietly 'forgotten' about.
