problems with saga

I've just been trying to open a saga 18 month internet account, but the application keeps failing, claiming it has timed out (but I'm doing it as fast as I can). I phoned them up and they said they knew of no problems with applications.

Has anyone else had this kind of problem with Saga or is it just me?

after a bit of experimenting I found that trying to open a 18 month account always failed, whereas trying to open a 2 year accounts worked first time!

I opened a two year account in April without any problems! Opted for the two year as I thought for the sake of an extra 6 months you get a better rate of interest plus the 90 day loss of interest withdrawal option.

Dont think I would want to tie up my cash for longer than 2 years though!

I reported the 18 month account problem to saga - and I got a phone call from them yesterday saying that it now worked.

I had a problem with Saga (not with opening an account but applying the right interest rate). When I emailed I threatened to take my money out of it was not resolved. I got a phone call from Birmingham Midshires, who are their savings provider. It satisfied it was by then resolved.
