No, if an index cuts out large swathes of its data, then its not as trustworthy than an index that doesnt.
THe Halifax has shown price rises too; I am predicting a positive rise in the Halifax so I dont see your point you labour voting dullard.

they haven't deleted any data - low volumes means no data published.

To be fair to mbga9pgf, he did say in his (assuming male!) very first post on this that he expected the Halifax figure to be positive.
He's just grumbling a bit because it's not really what he wants to see0
