My capped rate expires at the end of August, The info on MSE says to switch within the last 6 weeks on your capped contract. I'm a little concerned though because they'll ask for my meter readings when I switch and surely if I put in todays meter readings the switch would be effective from today?

Can anyone shed some light on this so I don't end up paying the cancellation fee.
