Hi
I have an Apple Ibook running OSX 10.2.8 and need an FTP program/client (whatever the right term is!). I will probably end up buying one but was wondering if there are any freeware ones around. The majority of the freeware ones available seem to be for OSX 10.3 or later. It's only a second computer so I would rather not have to purchase anything extra for it.
Thanks in advance for your time

Theres a thread here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=183949 with a link to a freeware site with hundreds of utilities - you may find something on thereIt's easier to get forgiveness than to ask permission0

http://forums.appleinsider.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=27790 is best i can do m8.
I only have windows & use FTPRUSH.0 -
Thanks for these links.
Sadly, the freeware site only had windows FTP software (although I may well try one of them on my PC so thanks anyway). Much more success with the appleinsider link, there were a few good choices here and I think I will go with Fugu . In fact I had already considered Fugu but for some reason I misread the system requirements and thought it was for OSX 10.3.
Again, thanks for the help.0 -
At work we use Fetch and has never given us any cause to change - http://fetchsoftworks.com/0

I am actually using fetch on a trail basis at the moment and will probably pay for it if nothing else is suitable. The problem is I'm probably upgrading to OSX Tiger in a month or so and this will give me a greater choice and so I'd rather not pay anything until then.0

FTP is built into the unix part of OS X. It's pretty easy to use as long as you aren't scared of typing things rather than clicking and dragging.
You can always look on https://www.download.com for freeware FTP clients.0 -
dont know anything about OS X but there seems to be a few on sourceforge this one may be of use? http://sourceforge.net/projects/cocoaftpclient0
