hi can any body help
have just moved my broadband to virginmedia, which comes with in a bundle , unlimted evening and weekend calls.
am not in a cable area, so have to to use the phone line for service.
at the moment am paying bt for my line retal, both the contracts for broadband and phone line are up.
thought it would be easy moving broadband but bt have added all
different charges to my account ie broadband cancel fee etc.
is there any where else i can rent just my phone line from (without the free calls , because this is already included in virgin bundle)

if you have finished your 12/18 month contracts with BT there should be no charge ???
Post office do a bundle with unlimited evening and weekend calls ( includes mobiles at the weekend) and will take on your line rental
but re-reading your message it seems you have just moved broadband , but then further down say its up for renewal ??Ex forum ambassador

my contract for both the broadband and phone have finished.
yet they have still a fee of £25 for canceling broadband will and a cahrge of £10.99
also they are now chargeing me £15 for my phone line
didnt know if there was sonmeone else that i can rent the phone line with
because have been with bt for years, and these charges are the final straw would rather take my custom elsewhere0 -

http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1844645Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
Until Virgin Media National launch their landline service,(and they have put it back a number of times), the only provider that will allow you to CPS your calls to Virgin Media National is BT.
If your not tied in to a BT rolling contract you can reduce your line rental to £11.25 a month (online billing). Ask for the Unlimited Weekend Plan.
