The postcode on the winning email isn't in the post offices computer so they have to enter the address manually, They tried to change my first one I sent, told them to send it to the address I had written. xx

Weird, just checked my special delivery receipt and it has postcode from email on it.

Not sure I understand abt this postcode thing? I sent one winning packet, shared win by special delivery to postcode on winning email, it got there next day, But, on my win of £50 I sent it recorded delivery on the 5th Sept, it still has not got there, plus recorded delivery does not cover cash, and the packet would be considered as cash, so lady in post office said! Or I should have insured for consequential(sp?) winnnings. You have to wait 15 workings days to put a claim in, which I have done, but looks like they won't pay out £39 which is what recorded comp is . I am hoping they will get back to me, and say yes, it's been delivered!

I hope it has been delivered as Royal Mail will only send you a book of stamps as compensation if they fail to deliver. For my own wins, ie not shared I've just been sending ordinary first class as my previous experiences have shown the loss rate for ordinary post is no worse than the loss rate for recorded delivery. The only postage service worth using is special delivery but it is expensive.

    Hope you get your winnings

When I was more active on ebay, I had a few things go missing. The status of them never changed from 'we have your item at xxxx Post Office' (or whatever it says) and the buyer never reported the item as having been received later.
