Simply I never got a winning screen (and have no volume on when using the laptop) and sometimes I was having issues with McVities freezing and I'd have to refresh. The next day I went to e-mail the person I shared the £50 win, and saw another e-mail in there from McVities from the previous morning saying congratulations on the £500...I was checking shared codes that day, and no idea whose code it would have been.

Also I didn't dare contact McVities, as I knew they were saying to people, they couldn't tell what code you won on (which I'm not sure I believed)..in the end I made the decision to pass it up, as I didn't want to alert them to code swapping (which others did for us)..

Oh my god i'd of been gutted too, so sorry to hear that happened.:mad:

If you are using the html site the one where you don't have to keep putting the details in again and again(thanks cg), if you win you can backspace twice and you'll be able to see which code you won with. x

Sometimes your sat entering that many codes that your just on autopilot, i nearly missed a winning screen once because i just clicked back straight away because id expected to see an unlucky screen, luckily as i clicked back i realise it was a winning screen otherwise i wouldnt of know.

Like someone said it really should have the winning code in the email!!

I agree completely Evelyn - It would be perfect if the e-mails gave the winning reference code, and the biccie pack code, then I could have pm'd everyone with the winning pack to search for, and I'd have made someone's day..

As it was, one morning I'd found out I'd won a share of £500 from the previous day I'd never known about...it's coming up to my 28 days soon (it all happened the bank holiday weekend) so someone will get a surprise £500..hope it's someone from here

Please contact McVities and tell them what happened and that you had thrown away the wrapper. You have the claim number, please please do it tomorrow. Don't throw away £500 on their mistake

i am also getting very confussed of the unclaimed winnings

Thats the site I use, but most times back twice its blank page.

Upsy-Daisy - loads of people posted and suggested that when it happened..I really didn't dare do it, in case we were breaking t&c's with regards to swapping..

also even if they let me claim it..I don't think I could knowing half should belong somewhere else (it definitely would have been a shared code)..that probably sounds silly..but the good news is, based on the time they sent the e-mail the chances are the £500 will go to someone on here, as no-one else would be silly enough to be entering codes at that time on a bank holiday weekend :rotfl:
