All the hours we have all put in over the weeks, just can't believe a company like mcvities can run a comp like this!!! People should have been receiving their cheque by now, so we're probably looking at receiving cheques 35-40 days after the win if at all, I'm sure they're gonna try and get out of it some-how0

so lets say joe bloggs goes into town tommorow and buys £100 worth of mcvities promotional (there must be few people over the comp)

the problem will be if many different addresses have been entered from one computer, it will flag up as odd because why would lots and lots of different people from different addresses enter on just one computer.
People who use AOL will be !!!!!!ed then. Complete strangers, and lots of them, often share the same IP address on that ISP. I think Virgin is the same but not 100% on that.
I can understand them 'investigating' if they think that there is some huge scam going on but families and friends using the same computer isn't unheard of. As long as the people who have won actually exist and live where they say they live then I shouldn't think they have the right to refuse to pay out.0 -
Even if many people are entering from one ip, what can they do about it? It's not against the rules as far as I can see for family members and friends to enter the same codes from your address?Septembers best bits: Luxury Holiday, £2000 Bonkers about Biscuits :j £100 of very very sexy underwear, Childrens books and toys!

It doesn't say anything in the rules about having to enter from a PC in your home. Not everyone has one - so why shouldn't your friends and family come to your house and use your PC to enter their codes?
Equally, you may be using a public computer at a library/university/internet cafe.
If they want to restrict entries PER IP ADDRESS then they should have put it in the T&Cs in the first place.
Nowhere does it mention sharing a PC or using public computers so I would think you could argue the toss.
However, 10 addresses IS a bit risky. I thought I was pushing it with 4 to be honest.
Although we all push the rules to their limits, sometimes you need to use a bit of common sense and not go overboard. Just my opinionLiving with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0
