  • There must be a limit to how many different people a person can enter for on one computer, once youve passed there limit it will flag up. In the t&cs it says something about over entering of codes etc and they can disqualify people so i guess they have covered themselves

has anyone else had a call from mcvities today:mad: i have been asked to send in all of my codes i have used over the last 2 weeks !!!!!! what a disaster aparently my claims have been suspended while they look into the matter i only won ,aparently i have alerted their software or something with excess code inputting with diffrent names and addresses at same isp addy:mad::eek: all that money i have spent on biscuits im not a happy customer any idea what i can do about it surely they cant do this can they?

Computers are capable of most things snooping wise if programmed properly. Which is why I can't understand how they are telling people they have won multiple times but say its not possible.

I don't think they can make you send in the non winning packets you could have thrown them away. You have abided by the rules when winning and have supplied winning packets as requested.

I thought you had to send proof of ID to show you lived at the address if you won so where is the problem if a family have one computer?
  • Has everyone been entering a phone number when they enter?

  • I'm going to give them a ring again tomorrow, if I don't get my cheque by the end of the week I will be contacting the ISP.

do you think we should contact the isp geezer who deals with comps

i think he should get involved if mcvities are mucking about

they made the rules and messed them up there problem not ours
  • the problem will be if many different addresses have been entered from one computer, it will flag up as odd because why would lots and lots of different people from different addresses enter on just one computer.

Surely they cant make you send it all the wrappers you can just say you throw away wrappers that havent won, its not like it said you have to keep all losing wrappers aswell

I have not banked on any money coming through without some kind of battle because McVities attitude right from the word go stinks. P*ss up and brewery come to mind. I am going to ring them tomorrow, quote the terms and conditions about 28 days for a cheque and then if they don't give me a satisfactory answer I am going to contact the ISP and McVities until I get the money I have won.

    Edited to add:

I am also going to write a stinking letter of complaint to McVities about their handling of this whole fiasco whatever the outcome.
