i have just been on the phone, feel a little better (apart from the really dry spell im having)

she said she will log the call and to phone back if i havent recieved anything by next wednesday, she said please bear in mind about the strikes, she was a very nice lady

hi, just an update

i have just rang mcvities and spoke to a lovely lady with regards to mine, my mums and my dads cheques that have not arrived. we are in the same household and are waiting for 11 cheques all together, all from august.

she said she will get back to me. i will let you know what she says.

also to those who have been emailing mcvities have you been using this email bonkersaboutbiscuits@ark-h.co.uk i had a reply from them when i used that address

And yeh it was a slight spelling mistake, the first letter I spelt it with a Z, whereas in passport it's with an S. I'll see anyway what they say.

If it's just one letter in the name that's wrong, the bank should be able to process the cheque anyway.

My surname always gets misspelt (even though it's not uncommon :rolleyes:) and my bank are always fine with accepting my cheques.

Oh btw a bit of an update, mostly money that i owe people:

catgil: brother banked cheque on monday, currently clearing
jodester: cheque received, but currently waiting for another cheque in my name, if that doesn't arrive by friday, i will bank it with my mum whilst she banks hers
cg1982: waiting for cheque to arrive
always harassed: waiting for cheque to arrive, but cos my sister doesn't have a bank account yet, i will pay you myself after cheque comes x
PP2008: cheques arrived, but brother has mum's card and so she'll be banking cheques on friday when he comes
