    Mortgage-free Glee!
this thread will soon turn into a name and shame thread........

Nearly 3 weeks ago a certain someone pm'd me to say cheque arrived and would i like cheque or paypal, i'm still waiting!!!!
Emailed them and even though they're clearly online posting, they don't have the time to reply or anything.
Well u know who you are and I hope that your thoroughly ashamed of yourself!???

Treat yoursen to some biscuits with my share, go on treat yourself.

Hi Clutterfree, I think you'll find that the sharer in question has received the cheque. There has been no naming and shaming on the boards but everyone has a right to know if they have been dealing with someone who has no plans to send them any money.

I think Clutterfree is absolutely right with what she's just said

I think we also need to give people time, people also have real life issues to deal with,

I know of one person with a desperately ill sister
another was expecting a baby any day

I'm glad I've managed to pay out what I owed, but I will be waiting patiently for my dues

it is a nail biting time tho, money sometimes has an adverse effect on people :-(

lets hope this thread all ends with a happy ending, then we'll all be ploughing into the next comp where we need each other with less trepidation about trusting others :-)

I know people have their lives to deal with too, but if you have time to post on other areas of the site, surely you should have the time to pm someone, or post on this thread acknowledging everything. I think that's what is bugging most people: the fact that the person can post on other parts of the forum but have no time to pm back, otherwise if this person hadn't signed onto MSE at all, then people would be less wary and know that something must be up.

I hope people end up getting their shares though, otherwise i guess you could say it's something we've learnt from.
  • This was my whole point in the first place. If the person had not been online since, it's understandable, but when you've sent several pm's had no replys but see other posts on forum from them it makes you worry.
Just a quick pm letting you know what's what dont take long.
This threads been great so lets keep it that way and everyone who needs to share - share. x x x :D
  • flippen hell just wrote a huge reply on here and lost it :(

No cheques here but my 1st win was 3 weeks ago and that was the 1k with kissmyarts, ill give them a couple more days then will be in touch with McV asking where the cheques are :(

And for the person who isnt sharing thats bang out of order and think karma who ever you are......

Could I just say......Early Last Week my SIL took a massive overdose and was rushed to hospital in ambulance just as i was taking my kids home from school right past the house....She didn't come round for a few days and has now been sectioned.....She suffers from depression. and then My husband, Eldest son and one of my daughters have come down with Swine Flu.....in between hospital visits and caring for my family i always took the time to contact people....I paid Penelope Pitstop, wookeyhole, Maggie777 and Upsa Daisy on saturday and have other peeps to pay when cheques arrive. All I'm trying to say is it takes a couple of minutes to contact people and they are very very understanding if there is a problem. I hope this doesn't spoil all the fun we had as at the moment I'm at a complete loss and really miss the bonking...:o

Thankyou both...I feel fine to be honest...The situation with my sil is ongoing for 15 years so we can just give all our support. I'm pretty resiliant and plod on. Dont let things get to me if i can help it....Everyone has problems especially at this time of year and we should be thankful compared to some....;)

  • Hi all,

Just to let you know I have only received 2 cheques out of about 4 that were from late august beginning of september. I will try contacting Mcvities tomorrow to see if cheques have been sent as I remember someone saying that Mcvities were reissuing a cheque that had gone missing.

Will keep you all posted. xx
