LOL - I know it well - we call them scraps to have with chips oooop North!!!!! Some friends were up from down South last week and we went to the fish'n'chippy and they couldn't get the idea of eating the excess batter from the fish with your chips. Particularly nice for artery clogging with plenty of salt and vinegar!!!!! :-)
You'll be able to enjoy them again next season once we're back in the Championship - on the ascendancy this year (so far he says hesitantly!!!!)Greetings
Just recovering from a massive powercut, I got very twitchy I couldn't use the computer.
Back with a vengence tomorrow, night all
Simonleeds the best thing about going to Elland Rd is the chip shop opposite that gives you a big pile of crackling with your chips worth the journey alone : )0 -

:rotfl:I think the last time I was there you beat us 6-0 or 6-1 I was one of the brave souls who stayed till the end to clap our team off
A real treat for me as I love batter, don't like fish or those nasty sausages they cover in batter. I also love eating the coats off fish fingers but not the fish.
Was just thinking of going to bed and the man from the Electricity Board just rang to check the lights had come back on.0 -

2007 was 0-0 but I do remember the big win - was probably the highlight of recent seasons.
Agree withboth you and Loopylou about scraps being the best though - I hate fish but love scraps. Another nice treat is a scallop - big piece of sliced potato covered in batter but not sure if they're a Northern thing too. I remember when I went to a nice restaurant in my early 20's and there was scallops on the menu I thought they seemed a bit cheap to go on the menu and had to check with my O.H. who promptly corrected me and advised they were a posh shellfish!!!!!
Heading off to snoozeville now as spent 4 hours bonking with no success - good luck nightshifters :-):rotfl:I think the last time I was there you beat us 6-0 or 6-1 I was one of the brave souls who stayed till the end to clap our team off
