1st class rec £x.xx
special delivery £x.xx
or for heavy items
parcel force x.xx
your still givin the buyer the chance to buy insurance by buyin the insured postal options!0 -

What happens when everything is "free" postage?"Love you Dave Brooker! x"

but its not at the moment and as ive tried to do already you cant add insurance to the current free postage at the moment.
On play.com its free postge so you add the postage to the starting price and play.com do take quiet high fees too, i think people make a big deal out of all the changes ebay make when its not neccessary.0 -
Sending items by first or second class post has always been a problem when its worth more than £39. Recorded delivery is not insurance. You can add insurance to standard parcels but this is not tracked. What is needed is an enhanced recorded delivery service with compensation, rather like international signed for. I wonder if this is what ebay are working on in conjunction with RM? If it is it would be an excellent step if it wasn't too expensive.0

what RM needs to provide is a non next day special delivery type service0

Good at least it may reduce the amount of sellers conning buyers into insurance. When we all know that insurance is for the seller as it is there responsibility to get the item to you Insurance options are just a way of sellers trying to fleece the less knowledgable buyers.0

Ebay only currently require one domestic postal delivery service option to be free in categories that require free p+p."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -

Funny, what I've often wished for is a next day service that doesn't require a signature :rotfl:
(Not for ebay!)My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
