We recently bought one of those 299 pound Dell notebooks and my son now wants to play football manager on it. It keeps freezing - is there anything we can do - upgrade??
Any help appreciated

I would try and work out what is causing it to freeze before you go and get the machine upgraded. Try reducing the number of leagues you're playing. Work through the Troubleshooting guides on the CD and in the Manual and contact the publisher if necessary.
Football Manager does require a very meaty machine to run quickly. I doubt whether your laptop will be able handle it very well. If your model has the Celeron CPU and shared graphics memory, it's going to struggle. It may well overheat and lock up.0 -

Thanks everyone, son seems to have sorted it himself. It was a problem with the editing part of football manager 2006 - what he did was to load it to our desktop, do his editing and then reloaded it to his laptop. Its now working fine.
Might get him a bigger ram though - how much???0 -
