Rome cheap safe accomodation

My DD is looking for accomodation for herself and 3 friends for 3 days in Roma. Any ideas , links and prices would be appreciated.

We were there a few years ago and didnt like the thought of staying in town - too busy - so we booked a hotel a little way out of Rome on the edge of Lake Bracciano Hotel was called Villa Maria but there were loads in this small town it was lovely and only about 1/2 hour to drive in to Roma or alternatively the local train station was quite close.

I would very much recommend looking on https://www.venere.com - reasonable prices with lots of really good maps, reviews and useful other info on there. Hi

i have stayed in Hotel Romantica. Central and good value for money. Basic hotel and ideal for site seeing. The breakfast is basic. I have also stayed in San Remo but more expensive.
