Dodgy ebay seller getting the most for their items

Hi, i bidded on an item a couple of weeks ago and was outbid at the last minute by another bidder, was then offered 2nd chance offer about 10mins after auction ended. I didnt take up the offer as i found it a bit suspicious. The item was then relisted and i bid on it again and was winning up until a few minutes before it ended, when i was outbid by the same bidder as last time. I was again offered 2nd chance offer 10 mins after auction end being to seller has had problems with the bidder before. The bidder is a new user and has bid on 11 items all from the same seller. Can you still report people for bidding on their own items using a different account? Tia

You can report sellers for shill bidding, click on the 'report item' on the item page and you'll get the option.
Just to say that I have items that I give second chance offers on as I have several of them and I also have regular customers who bid on a lot of my auctions, so it may not be shill bidding.
The biggest ounishment for shill bidders is the extra fees they have to pay!

hi, i know its not a duplicate item as its a large item and it seems very coincidental that the bidder would bid on only their items noone else! can i report the seller even if i buy the item? its just even tho i begrudge having to pay my maximum bid for it when i was winning at 99p i know i will not be able to get the item that cheap elsewhere.

You can report anyone you like, I would add more but I'm sure someone else will be along soon to point out the error of your ways;)

I'd definitely ask the seller to sell for 99p. If he doesn't, he'll obviously re-list and re-list and eventually you'll get it for 99p - especially after reporting for shill bidding and eBay have a word!

error of my ways???? i would be more than willing to buy at the max bid if it was a genuine bidder but it isn't!
The whole point of ebay is to get the item at the price you are willing to pay which i put the maximum i would pay however it is supposed to be a fair deal... if the seller wanted a higher price he should start it higher no shill bid!

How do you know? Bidders are anonymous now. It does sound like shill bidding though.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine. :p

There is the handy facility to see how many items bidder A has in common with seller B.
