Bournemouth

Hi

Please can anyone recommend a reasonably priced hotel in Bournemouth with a family room?

Two grannies are taking away our grandchildren, boy 8 & girl 4 years.

I have looked on tripadvisor.com for reviews but they seem to be mixed.

Many thanks

Bournemouth if a great place to take kids if you want an action packed break withoutthe need to drive everywhere.
Within striking distance fo the towncentre you've got beaches, the oceanarium, theatres, ice skating, lovely gardens, shops, cinemas and restaurants .......but it is also very much a student town with lots of university students , the beach and shops are very busy at weekends and the town centre after 8pm can be lively and at times a bit erm ...rowdy with hens and stags.

It depends on what you are looking for, but for a good old fashioned bucket and spade holiday with small children I cannot reccomend swanage highly enough. Its about half an hour from bournemouth and poole and has a lovely beach with beach huts for rent, a working team railway, small fun fair, an old victorian wooden pier. In the early evening children sit on the quay and fish for crabs and there are some nice little bistros and restaurants to try. The whole town has a nostaglic feel and is very family friendly.
If you have a car you could easily visit monkey world ape rescue centre, or putlake play farm or beautiful corfe castle or even peaceful brownsea island and see the rare red squirrel.

    Hi,
I have tried to use trip adviser quite often when booking a hotel. The problem sometimes seems to be that people who post have issues with the hotel and sometimes mark them down unfairly. In the end you have to go with your gut feeling when you make a choice. If you need to find details of things to do in bournemouth try http://www.allaboutgoingout.com/bournemouththings.php

    Hi

I was in Bournemouth in June staying in the Ramada Encore it was a good hotel but I think they only have double/twin rooms. We saw the Premiere Inn Bournemouth center which is in an excellent location it also looked very clean or refurbished, I think I read somewhere it was formerly a Hilton?
