Are there new P & P requirements?

Hi - I've been offline for ages but wanted to use Ebay to have a clearout of some DVDs. When I've tried listing an item, I'm having problems listing because it tells me that I can't insert a value of more than £0.00 for postage despite the fact that I haven't ticket the p & p box. I've been trying various adaptations over the past half hour without success and so far, no listing!

Does anyone have any suggestions?

DVDs have to go with free P&P so add your postage to your start price

Ahhhhhhh! I knew someone on here would know before I wasted another hour (my solution being to hit the keys on the keyboard harder when I type the same info in as before!)

I insult mine tell it that it will go to the graveyard of all macs and if I am in a really bad mood I tell it I will replace it for a PC:eek:. That soon gets it doing what it should.

Basically the official line is that buyers prefer free p+p, that overcharging on p+p was such a issue that ebay had to do something about it.... unoffically it is because ebay don't get final value fees on p+p, just on the item cost itself, and they want to milk sellers for that little bit extra.

But so many sellers just can't get their heads around it.
I enquired of one seller who was trying to add P&P in the games section by putting in the listing that Ebay wouldn't allow him to add P&P due to a technical fault, I pointed out the error of his ways gently, and the response came back as follows... (copy and pasted exactly as I received it)

then don,t bid.i don,t get free p+p from the royal mail so ebay can take a run + jump.

Ooops, did my finger slip on the report button? Of course it did.
I don't go out looking for them but this one riled me up.

I aways have the urge to buy the item just so I can report them as a NPS. I have managed to resist though. Wether you agree with the policy or not if you want a succesful career as a seller you have to do it. All trying to bypass it will do is destroy your reputation as a seller. I do find it strange that people cant get there head around adding it to the start price. We are all in the same boat
