Hi i have a TomTom One version 7.166 which i bought over a year ago, i use often and for approx the last 6 weeks its taken at least 5 mins to get a signal, it just has a message saying waiting for valid GPS signal, seeing as its not happened before and now happens every time i use i am worried there is something wrong, i dont have a guarantee with it. It does seem to sort its self out after approx 5- 10 mins and numerous readding the address when on the move ( my son does this while im driving) i am going on a 190 mile journey tomorrow alone and i am worried about the sat nav, does anyone have any idea's what the problem might be????

Quickfix has been causing a few problems lately. A few possible ways to sort it :

Download an update of Quickfix with Tomtom Home

    or

    Delete Quickfix with Tomtom Home

    or

Delete Quickfix by opening the Tomtom with Windows Explorer and delete all of the files in the Ephem folder.

I have removed Quickfix and the unit works better for it.
