Virgin (MBNA) Balance Transfer Fee Whilst In Credit

Options
I have just transferred my balances to RBS and part of this meant transferring a positive balance to my Virgin credit card which I intended to use to pay off a Littlewoods account and an Argos account. I paid the Littlewoods account no problem and did a balance transfer of the remaining balance (which is how Egg managed balance transfers from in-credit accounts) and have been stung for £14.30 for a £480 transfer of MY money.

Now it may be a legitimate fee but I find it a hard pill to swallow that it has cost me almost £15 to withdraw my money. I have spoken to Virgin and all they said was "Well if you had phoned us...", no !!!!ing point telling me that now is there?!

Apparently credit cards are not designed to go into credit yet they're more than happy to let you do it and charge you for the pleasure of taking back your money.
