Gas Bills
Hello
I wondered whether anyone could help me? I have just found out that EDF energy have been charging me for gas on the wrong meter and that I now owe £700 in gas. They have been charging me on the wrong meter for the past 3 years. Having checked out both meters that are in dispute. I have realised that ours has clocked 3360 units for 3 years and I wondered if this was average? I live with my other half in a brand new flat with excellent insulation we have a gas stove and gas central heating but we don't have the heating turned on between easter and october. I can't believe we have used this much gas as the downstairs flat with 2 adults and 2 children have only used 1730 units over the same period.
Can I possibly have used that much gas or is there a leak somewhere? And seeing as though it was EDF Energy's mistake do I still have to pay?
Please help!

Why dont you get the readings of yours and the downstairs flat next week and see how much each meter reading has gone up.
Looks like the people down stairs will get a rebate and you are going to have to up your monthly direct debit.0
