Hi all,
I realise this is maybe a stupid question, but is there any reason not to accept a postal order for an ebay item, someone messaged me on one of my listings this morning to ask. i usually set all up as paypal only as it is the default, and never have anyone ask otherwise.
Are there any likely complications as a seller for accepting one? They get paid into the bank don't they?

As long as it's uncrossed you can cash it at the post office. Plus, no paypal fees!:j30/7/10:j

You can still pay a crossed postal order in at the PO if you bank with smile, cahoot or similar. My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
i dont, so if it's crossed i can pay it in at my bank right?? if so, i hear it takes as long as a chq to clear, but surely it can't bounce or anything..so i can post when i get it?0

Ask it to be sent uncrossed.
If it's sent crossed, wait until payment clears your account before dispatching item. Until it clears, there could well be a reason for it to bounce (e.g. it's not legit)"Now to trolling as a concept. .... i always asked for uncrossed as you can cash it straight away while posting the item(so no fakes to worry about) and it saves laying out cash on postage0
