our local Wilkinson also has half price seeds Johnsons and some wilkos own brand but not all their own brand seeds, that is Wakefield, West Yorkshire0

If you can bear to hang on a bit longer you will find them reduced down even further, I managed to get some for 10p last year from Wilkos, very handy for trying out new veg varieties without having to pay over £2 a packetWhen an eel bites your bum, that's a Moray0

The problem with that is might not be able to get what you want.
The johnsons seeds where all marked half price. I picked up a couple. But do prefer 75% off or even more :rotfl:

Tesco has joined the 'dump this year's seeds' party. Today they had Unwins seeds at half price.0

Just to give a warning. I picked up some seeds in wilkinsons some where marked half price and some where not.
I thought that they just had not got around to marking all of them. Make sure you pick up the packets that say half price on them as all the rest are still full price.
Guess what I am taking back tomorrow

I checked over my "old" seed packets, and some were marked reduced to 10p from Wilko, as stated earlier, if you hang on you may get get a bargain, or they may be sold out of the variety you want
I do not play the lottery or bet on horse etc, but do gamble on veg & flower seeds being cheap at end of season, bit of a challenge & never know what one will get
This year's winners appear to be pepper "Sweet min red" was £1.29 down to 10p, two now ripening, with loads to follow. Plus tomato " Minibel" was 99p, reduced by 50%, not turning red yet but nearly there
Both own brand from WilkoWhen an eel bites your bum, that's a Moray0 -
Has anyone had a good crop of tomatoes and other friut and veg from wilko's own brand of seeds? I grew some this year but not too impressed so far so I have stocked up on johnsons seeds from wilko at 75% off thinking these will produce better yealds for next year. I was also wondering how long do they keep the stock until they reduce their stock to 10p,lol. Also as someone mentioned above if it ain't got a sticker on it it aint reduced, I made the same mistake. The discount is per packet and the buy 3 discount on wilko brand did not apply when I bought 3 packets, although i can't complain it is a good deal.0

If you grow the same variety, normally it doesn't matter where you bought them from, they will all be about the same.
Alot of people complain about cheap seeds, but really there is nothing wrong with them at all.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
Like Lotus-eater I have had the same gemination rates from own brand seeds as seeds bought from named suppliers, I find the compost is more of a issue than the seeds and obviously the weather can make or break a crop0
