I have purchased some clothes from a website for a wedding so they are unworn (bought late June/early July). They have now been reduced by 20% so it's adds up to over £50. Can i do anything about it, it's too late to return it under their 14 days refund policy.

Are you joking!
You saw the items, you bought the items and were happy to pay the advertised price.
If everyone tried this then no retailer in their right mind would have a sale!0 -
If the price had gone up, would you be asking them if you could pay the extra? Thought not. You have no legal right to do anything about it...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

It's a bit of a hazard at this time of the year, unfortunately, and one you should have already been aware of.
Stores always reduce anything vaguely 'summery' in the July sales; this year is worse (better for the consumer, maybe) because the weather's been so bad.0 -

I bought expensive tiles from Homebase costing around £300 a few months ago only to see them in the sale a matter of days later.
I took them back and asked to speak to the manager. I explained I used the shop for virtually all of the stuff in my house and I would really appreciate it if they do them for the lowered price. He said no problem.
If it had been more recent you could have returned them and bought them again separately.0 -
