paypal claim, please help

Hey guys,
i made a paypal claim on a seller, and got this reply from paypal:

In response to your claim, the seller has provided proof of postage
indicating that the item was posted to you. Because the seller was able to
provide proof of postage, we cannot reverse this transaction or issue a
refund. We encourage you to continue to work directly with the seller to
amicably resolve this matter.

But i never got the item, it never came to me. They showed me the proof of signature, and it was someone else, nobody at my address so i dont know who got the trainers. what do i do know??? how do i get a refund??

please help.

many thanks

Request the seller's phone number, and give them a ring.

It's not their fault - sounds like their courier has delivered it to the wrong address. Ask them to question their courier where it was delivered to, or request the tracking code and courier details so you can call them.

This is always a grey area when a parcel is marked as delivered but the buyer hasn't got it... Have you spoken to someone at Paypal rather than just the email system?
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

I think pinkshoes is correct but assume the seller thinks you are "at it" and throughly explain yourself straightaway. What comms did you have with the seller before putting in a claim? If limited then don't expect much help from the seller. You really want to get them onside if possible.

Unfortunately you won't win a paypal dispute for item not received when the seller has online proof of delivery.

You need to follow the advise of paypal and try and speak with the seller directly to try and resolve the issue.

Does the signature not indicate where the item was actually left?
Normally if an item is left elsewhere, then the courier markes the signature with a number, indicating the address the item was actually left at.

Or do you live in a building with one front door, but has multiple separate living areas (such as an old converted house, block of flats, etc)?

Whichever, perhaps you should have a knock on the doors of all the nearby neighbours and see if they have take the parcel in for you. :)

Yes i have spoken to the sellers for ages before i put in the claim. They said i would not get a refund/replacement unless the trainers were found, and if that takes 2 years, 2 years i shall wait! :(. I live at a house address with house mates, i asked all of them, nobody pick it up. But the siganture they have if for someone i dont know off. I have knock on the neighbours door, none say they have it. What do i do now please?? I could phone the delivery guys, but what will they do for me, if the seller not willing to help :(. Any advice please??
