Barclays Online Banking - Error 1176

I dont know if anyone else has had problems with Barclays online banking lately but I have got an 'error 1176' twice over the last few weeks when trying to log on. After calling them I found out that my account was locked as the fraud team are blocking any unusual IP address that hasnt accessed my account before. This is a great initiative except that the way I understand it, any IP address that it does not recognise as accessing my account before will result in my access being blocked. As I use my work PC a lot, which does not have a static IP address, I see myself having this issue every few days... Potentially this could create problems!

Has anyone else experienced this at all?

No sorry as I only use 2 PC's!

It's a good idea in Principal but surely there us an option that Barclays could implement to take you off the list!

Oh dear, security through obscurity. I'd be very disappointed if that were true.

Has anyone else experienced this at all?

The only problem I've had in the past is the actual webapp failing but reporting my account details as wrong when they've been submitted.

I got locked out again today but was told (by someone who sounded like they knew what they were on about) and was told that this shouldnt happen again... so we'll see what happens
