Banksy in Bristol

Does anyone know if there are still massive queues for the Banksy exhibition?

I'm quite keen to see it but won't bother if I have to queue for longer than it takes to view the exhibition. It would be a weekday or possibly a late Wednesday in August.

Thanks.

Same question here, I happened to be in Bristol town centre the day it opened and the queue was cut off by minders due to its length.
  • One of the women from work went on Monday and it was three hour queue.

Really wanting to go but fear I may have left it too late.

I heard that they were on about leaving it open until 8.00pm on a Wednesday. I want to go too, but am scared of the queues (and being a Bristol girl, I have nothing to loose - just lazy I guess). I think this weather is going to be encouraging more visitors!

So I'll be interested to see what anybody says.

If you go around 4pm it's usually a tiny queue or none at all. I've been three times now with different people and we've never queued more than 5minutes at 4pm.

We queued for just over 2 hours, but that was at the weekend and I assumed there would be more people then than during the weekday...We got there around 11am.

We went on Wednesday for the late show. We arrived about 4pm. There are actually 2 queues, the first is a queue to join the queue. It took about 1h 15mins but was quite painless (quite amusing in fact).

Well worth it, as we thoroughly enjoyed the exhibition.
  • Still huge queues at 10 o'clock this morning! I go past there on the way to work, and there doesn't seem to be an end to it!

The Gallery has considered and rejected the idea of an extension on the Exhibition (3,500 visitors/day apparently). This says something about the more general state of public art in UK.
